Kaj Karlo is currently a pre-launch service operated by Balmit Guruwar, trading as Kaj Karlo.
Balmit Guruwar is the data controller for personal information processed through this public website and through enquiries sent to Kaj Karlo.

2. What this notice covers
This notice applies to the current public website at kajkarlo.com and to personal information you send to us by email while Kaj Karlo is in pre-launch development.
It does not yet describe the full member service. A fuller Privacy Notice covering member profiles, matching, messaging, photos, verification, safety features and other app processing will be published before the Kaj Karlo member service becomes available.
3. Information we may process
When you visit the website, our hosting provider may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, including your IP address and request information.
If you contact us by email, we may receive information such as:
- your name;
- your email address;
- the contents of your message;
- any information or attachments you choose to send; and
- information needed to respond to your enquiry.
Please do not send passwords, unnecessary identity documents or other sensitive personal information unless it is genuinely required.
4. Why we use this information
We may use personal information to:
- operate, secure and maintain the public website;
- respond to general enquiries about Kaj Karlo;
- respond to safety or misuse concerns;
- handle privacy and data-protection requests;
- protect Kaj Karlo, its future users and others from misuse or fraud; and
- comply with applicable legal obligations.
For ordinary website operation and enquiries, we generally rely on our legitimate interests in operating and protecting Kaj Karlo and responding to people who contact us.
Where processing is necessary to meet a legal obligation, including certain data-protection requests, we rely on legal obligation.
5. Who may receive your information
We use service providers to operate the current website and email service, including Google, through services such as Firebase Hosting and Gmail.
We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with the law, protect someone’s safety, establish or defend legal rights, or cooperate with an appropriate authority.
We do not sell your personal information.
6. International processing
Some service providers we use may process personal information outside the United Kingdom. Where this occurs, the provider is responsible for using appropriate data-protection safeguards for those transfers.
7. How long we keep information
Firebase states that Firebase Hosting retains IP-address data from incoming requests for a few months.
Email correspondence is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was received, including responding to the enquiry, maintaining appropriate safety or legal records, resolving disputes and meeting legal obligations.
Information that is no longer needed will be deleted or otherwise disposed of appropriately.
8. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights including:
- access to your personal information;
- correction of inaccurate information;
- deletion of information;
- restriction of processing;
- objection to processing; and
- data portability where applicable.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, you have the right to object to that processing in certain circumstances.

10. Cookies and tracking
The current Kaj Karlo public website does not use advertising cookies, analytics scripts or third-party tracking tools.
Our hosting infrastructure may still process technical information such as IP addresses as described above.
11. Changes to this notice
Kaj Karlo is still in pre-launch development, so this notice may be updated as the website and service develop.
Before the member service becomes available, we will publish a fuller Privacy Notice explaining how personal information is handled within the Kaj Karlo service.
